Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Quality Control professional to ensure HVAC installation work meets regulatory and project standards. You will monitor material and workmanship, review shop drawings, and conduct site inspections to verify conformance with codes and client specifications.

Responsibilities include documenting results, identifying non-compliances, coordinating with crews, and maintaining quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of progressive quality control experience.
• Knowledge of construction technologies, equipment, processes.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality standards for installation of materials and products for Mechanical HVAC systems.
• Review shop drawings for conformance and verify installation and code compliance.
• Perform site and fabrication inspections and document results.
• Recommend solutions for non-compliant situations and ensure follow-up.
• Maintain procedural documents and provide training as needed.
• Coordinate with superintendents to manage licenses and permits.
• Review project equipment specs and ensure QA/QC definitions before start.
