The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mechanical design, construction, or commissioning, with experience in chilled water systems and mission-critical environments, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in mechanical design, construction, or commissioning.
• Experience with chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC, and piping.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site representative for HVAC, cooling, piping, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform daily site observations to assess installation progress and workmanship.
• Coordinate design clarifications and field solutions with project stakeholders.
• Respond to RFIs, submittals, equipment substitutions, and field conflicts.
• Support reviews of equipment layouts and utility routing.
• Participate in BIM coordination activities and mockup evaluations.
• Identify installation deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Support factory testing, startup activities, and commissioning prep.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical guidance.
• Issue weekly reports on observations, risks, and schedule impacts.
• Identify risks and assist in resolution strategies.
