I-5 Design Build in Lacey, WA is seeking a Material Handling Specialist to support in-shop production by moving materials safely and efficiently. This hands-on role requires organization, dependability, safety-conscious approach, and ability to work in a busy production environment.

You will receive, store, stage, track, and make materials available for production teams. Forklift experience is required, and you may lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling, warehousing, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, construction, or related environment.
• Ability to operate a forklift and obtain required certification.
• Experience using inventory/clerical software or similar systems.
• Ability to organize and track multiple materials and components accurately.
• Ability to work safely in an active production facility.
• Dependable attendance and consistent follow-through.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt as production priorities change.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against documentation.
• Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Organize and store materials in designated shop and warehouse areas.
• Stage materials, parts, and components for production teams.
• Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and organize materials.
• Move materials safely throughout the production facility.
• Help prepare, protect, and organize completed components for shipment.
• Maintain accurate material, inventory, and movement records.
• Communicate shortages, damaged materials, and delivery concerns promptly.
• Keep storage, loading, and production-support areas clean and organized.
• Follow company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.
