Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. operates a state-of-the-art Uncrustables manufacturing facility in McCalla, AL, seeking a Technical Leader to drive safety, reliability, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

You will build technical capability, lead maintenance programs, and coach teams in a fast-growing environment. Lead cross-functional initiatives, manage budgets for reliability goals, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure startup readiness and capital project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; technical degree and/or equivalent related experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, or technical leadership experience.
• Experience directing contractors, vendors, and external technical resources.

Responsibilities

• Enhance safety, quality, and productivity with technical guidance and maintenance programs.
• Drive a high-performance culture on the production floor.
• Maximize equipment availability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Provide hands-on support as the technical SME for equipment and systems.
• Develop and coach technicians to build mastery in skills and ownership.
• Lead maintenance procedures and spare parts strategies for reliability.
