Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company is seeking a Technical Leader for the Uncrustables operation in Longmont, CO. You will drive equipment reliability, mentor technicians, and lead continuous improvement to sustain world-class performance on a 100% on-site site.

You will partner with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to solve complex challenges, advance safety, and impact production metrics. This role offers growth within Smucker's manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred).
• 5+ years of manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, or engineering experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and develop team capability.
• Experience utilizing CMMS/ERP systems (Maximo, eAM, Proficy, etc.).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability efforts for a high-volume production area.
• Maximize equipment uptime and eliminate recurring losses through root cause problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Champion predictive and preventive maintenance strategies that improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Coach, mentor, and develop technicians to strengthen technical capability and build future leaders.
• Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning on the plant floor.
• Partner with maintenance, operations, and reliability teams to drive results.
• Identify and execute opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Lead cross-functional projects that deliver measurable business impact.
