Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the Verona, VA facility. The role focuses on maintaining production equipment, the building, and support systems to meet production goals, with on-site responsibilities on the 1st shift.

The position requires 5 years of maintenance experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with PLCs and a CMMS (FIIX). Compensation starts at $31.61–$45.91 per hour, depending on experience, with a Monday-Thursday

Qualifications

• 5 years manufacturing related maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic machine systems.
• Electrical knowledge up to 480 volts.
• Demonstrated safety orientation.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Experience using a maintenance management system such as FIIX.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and promote the safety culture.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards.
• Make equipment available to production by performing repairs and maintenance.
• Determine causes of equipment breakdowns and perform repairs.
• Analyze drawings and manuals to service all types of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electronic devices.
• Apply preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and support maintenance planning.
• Assist with spare parts inventory management.
• Keep facilities and equipment in good working order.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when needed.
• Develop and support maintenance scheduling including Preventative Maintenance.
• Participate in 5S activities.
