Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in Staunton, Virginia, is hiring a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to maintain production equipment, building, and support systems to meet production goals.

The role is fully on-site at 101 Industry Way, Staunton, VA, with a 1st shift schedule (Mon-Thu 6:00am-4:30pm) and a bi-weekly pay cycle. Compensation ranges hourly from $31.61 to $45.91, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• A demonstrated safety orientation.
• 5 years manufacturing related maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic machine systems.
• Electrical knowledge up to 480 volts.
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset able to prioritize work based on schedules and objectives.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Experience using a maintenance management system such as FIIX.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and promote the safety of those around you; help build a proactive safety culture.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
• Determine the cause of equipment breakdown or failure and make necessary repairs.
• Analyze drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams to install, repair, calibrate or service mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic devices and systems.
• Apply preventative maintenance methods to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Provide input into the preventive maintenance programs.
• Support management of spare parts inventories.
• Keep building and support equipment in working order; perform repairs and modifications.
• Coordinate with outside maintenance and repair contractors when necessary.
• Develop and support maintenance scheduling and planning including Preventative Maintenance efforts.
• Actively participate in 5S activities.
