Job summary

M.S. Walker in Boston, MA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair automated manufacturing and distribution equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operations across the plant.

Experience with PLCs, VFDs and conveyors is preferred. The role offers a Monday–Friday shift from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, competitive pay of $25–$35 per hour, strong union benefits, and opportunities for growth within a stable, 5th‑generation family‑owned company with a long history in wine and spirits

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with conveyors and automated equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control systems.
• Experience with CMMS and blueprints/schematics readings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment to maximize uptime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and changeovers on packaging lines.
• Repair motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and pneumatics.
• Diagnose electrical/automation issues and repair PLCs/VFDs.
• Collaborate with production and vendors to resolve issues.
