Job summary

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning and housekeeping duties at designated TNDC sites in San Francisco. The role requires adherence to cleaning schedules, safety policies, and on-site presence.

You will sweep, mop, vacuum, remove trash, and assist with light maintenance, including patching and painting as assigned. The position is full-time, on-site, with an after-hours on-call schedule for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to follow directions and work with diverse, low-income residents.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general cleanliness of the building interior and exterior and adhere to the cleaning schedule.
• Sweep and mop floors; clean and vacuum hallways, common areas, and individual units as necessary.
• Handle trash/recycling, windows, and restock supplies as needed.
• Assist maintenance staff with light repairs and patch/paint walls as assigned.
• Respond to building emergencies on an after-hours on-call schedule.
