Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a General Maintenance Associate for North Haven Communities at Fort Wainwright, AK. You will perform a range of maintenance tasks across rental units, offices, and common areas, ensuring safe, functional buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities include appliance installation, on-call repairs, and maintaining tools and equipment. A REAL ID compliant license is required to access the federal facility, and the role supports our mission of quality housing and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Current driver's license in good standing.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
• Ability to read and write English and follow directions.
• REAL ID compliance required for access to federal facility (May 7, 2025).

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and maintenance requests.
• Transport, install and connect appliances and fixtures.
• Move materials to proper location using wheelbarrows or carts.
• Load/unload trucks and prepare work areas.
• Repair and fabricate window/door screens and frames.
• Dig and level grounds, operate power tools and mowers.
• Remove flooring and drywall as needed.
• Ensure site cleanup and accurate record-keeping.
