Glacier West Self Storage in Woodland, WA is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance of multiple properties, ensuring safety and reliability. You will manage routine tasks, coordinate with vendors, and respond to emergencies, while leading a team to keep facilities in top condition.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in facility maintenance, strong problem-solving, and the ability to travel between properties in Washington and Oregon.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in facility maintenance, or a related field.
• Self-storage facility experience is a plus; on-the-job learning possible.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills and data entry; adapt to new software.
• Valid driver’s license; travel between properties as needed.
• Growth mindset; willingness to learn and be coached.
• Available for emergencies outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Unit maintenance: regular upkeep of storage units (spring, hasp, seal).
• Facility maintenance: roofs, gutters, downspouts, siding.
• Groundskeeping: manage groundskeeping vendors and landscaping.
• Security systems maintenance: cameras, gates, fencing, lighting.
• Equipment maintenance: elevators, doors, carts; extend lifespan.
• Emergency response: promptly handle urgent maintenance events.
• Inventory management: maintain supplies and tools stock.
• Support other properties as needed for operational goals.
• Job development: learn and apply workplace tools and applications.
