Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager for our New Hudson, MI site. You will lead maintenance, facilities, and asset reliability activities to maximize uptime, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement across preventive and predictive programs.

You will oversee maintenance teams, manage vendors and budgets, and coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and SHEQ to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in maintenance, facilities, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing maintenance teams, vendors, contractors, and budgets.
• Experience managing facility systems such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
• Proficiency with CMMS platforms like Asset Essentials, Maximo, SAP PM, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
• Experience in high-volume environments is preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ISO/IATF compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, facilities, tool crib, and spare parts operations.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Manage maintenance of manufacturing equipment, building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and grounds.
• Oversee maintenance inventory, spare parts management, and cycle count processes.
• Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs, including downtime, PM compliance, and maintenance costs.
• Manage contractors and service providers to ensure quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and SHEQ teams to support production goals and site improvements.
• Maintain required facility certifications, inspections, calibration records, and maintenance documentation.
• Establish maintenance strategies that reduce downtime, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and extend equipment life.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, TPM, and root cause problem-solving methodologies.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Develop, coach, and manage maintenance and facilities team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
