Job summary

77 consultants is seeking an Associate-level physician to provide full-spectrum anesthesia care as a locum, on-site at a Colorado facility.

You will handle preoperative assessments, intraoperative management, and postoperative monitoring across diverse surgeries, collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and staff.

This contracted role requires board certification/eligibility, valid CO license, and flexibility for call shifts; travel and expenses paid.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
• Associate-level experience in anesthesiology practice.
• Active Colorado medical license.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• Strong perioperative anesthesia management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
• Manage airway and ventilation to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to determine anesthesia techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed.
• Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies and complications.
• Document care in medical records and charts.
• Provide postoperative pain management and follow-up evaluations.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Communicate with patients and families regarding procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement and team meetings.
