Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team and provide support before, during, and after trials. You will work closely with our attorneys to prepare documents, manage discovery, and coordinate depositions in an on-site environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of litigation experience, an associate degree or paralegal program completion, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• 2+ years of litigation experience (preferred).
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, calendaring depositions, mediations and hearings.
• Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, and court procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and memoranda.
• E-file all court documents in state and federal court.
• Communicate with clients, court, counsel, and others.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons and coordinate depositions.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits; organize exhibits and appendices.
• Assist with case settlements and related tasks as requested by the attorney.
