Job summary

All IT Solutions is seeking a Linux DevOps Engineer to join a client engagement in Chicago, IL. This is an on-site contract role. You will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible and Ansible Tower, develop playbooks for provisioning, and support Linux environments.

Collaboration with engineering, operations and support teams is required to ensure performance, security and reliability. On-site 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux/Unix administration and Ansible Tower/AWX.
• Ability to automate tasks with scripting and orchestration tools.
• Proficiency with repository-based workflows and version control.
• Strong networking knowledge including proxies, DNS, and firewalls.
• Comfort reading Python, Bash, Go or Java scripts.
• Experience in enterprise production environments.
• Willingness to work onsite three days per week in Chicago area.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible and Ansible Tower.
• Develop, manage, and optimize Ansible playbooks for provisioning and configuration.
• Support and maintain Linux-based environments for stability, performance and security.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues.
• Coordinate deployments across multiple environments with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze and resolve networking issues involving proxies, firewalls, load balancing, routing, and connectivity.
• Document automation processes and system configurations.
