Job summary

IT Impact Consulting seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive precision mechanisms and mechatronics at our Sterling, VA site. You will own 3D CAD modeling, TDPs, and fabrication-ready drawings, while guiding tests, PDR/CDR, and optimization efforts.

The role requires active clearance and the ability to obtain a favorable polygraph, with relocation possible and on-site responsibilities at a secured Sterling worksite.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance, or held within the last 2 years.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a favorable polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years relevant experience, or graduate degree with 7+ years, or ~13 years without a degree.
• Experience with precision mechanisms, mechatronics, 3D CAD, Creo, ASME Y14.5, GD&T, and Technical Data Packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts on precision mechanisms and mechatronics.
• Develop 3D CAD models and technical drawings, ensuring GD&T and TDPs.
• Support SWaP optimization, prototype development, integration and testing.
• Work on-site in Sterling, VA with secured worksite TBD.
