Job summary

MSCCN seeks a Materials Coordinator, Lead, to supervise air cargo operations at Fort Hood, TX. You will coordinate the movement of personnel, equipment, and cargo, acting as the primary liaison between airfield operations, transport units, and logistics teams to maintain mission readiness.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics or air cargo, strong leadership, and knowledge of DoD/FAA/IATA standards. On-site work with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in logistics, material coordination, or air cargo operations.
• Experience in logistics, air cargo ops, transportation coordination, or supply chain functions.
• Strong knowledge of military or commercial air cargo procedures and load planning.
• Ability to supervise personnel and coordinate across agencies or units.
• Proficiency with logistic management systems and standard office tools.
• Able to lift/move materials and operate material handling equipment in airfield settings.
• Ability to pass drug test and background screening; CAC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise personnel handling receiving, staging, inspecting, and manifesting cargo and passengers.
• Coordinate with airfield operations, loadmasters, crews, and logistics units for on-time departures/arrivals.
• Oversee cargo manifests, TCMD data, hazmat certs, pallet sheets, and load plans.
• Ensure compliance with DoD, FAA, IATA, and unit air movement standards.
• Manage staging area, cargo accountability, pallet/net configuration, and safe handling.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance oversight for the team.
• Communicate with supported units to schedule cargo pickup/drop-off and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain records, reports, dashboards, and activity logs for readiness reporting.
• Implement safety standards and equipment inspections; mitigate hazards.
• Serve as SME for air cargo movement and equipment usage.
