Job summary

POET in North Manchester, Indiana, is seeking a Temporary Laboratory Technician to perform lab analyses supporting quality control, process control and product development. The role is on-site with a 7:30 AM–4 PM schedule and occasional weekends.

You will handle sample collection, labeling, and testing using wet chemistry, microbiology and microscopy techniques. Candidates should have chemistry or biochemistry coursework, hands-on lab experience with HPLC and analytical balances, and comfort

Qualifications

• Completed junior level courses majoring in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• Experience with HPLC, analytical balance, pipettes.
• Ability to learn new programs and maintain accuracy.
• Strong personal integrity and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collects samples for lab analysis at specified locations and times.
• Labels containers with identifying data and records results.
• Performs wet chemistry, microbiological testing and light microscopy.
• Prepares samples for testing using analytical equipment.
• Sets up, calibrates and operates lab instruments such as HPLC, IC, NIR, pH meters.
• Maintains safety, cleanliness and proper labeling of chemicals.
