Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a staff member to provide direct tutorial, training and instructional lab support to students and laboratory personnel in a supervised laboratory.

This on-site role requires strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, safety practices, and the ability to assist instructors by preparing experiments, supervising labs, handling supplies, and documenting results for coursework.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Will be subject to a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory experiments/exercises to demonstrate learning.
• Assist in supervision of lab activities to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Provide clerical support including ordering, cataloging, and maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondences.
• Assist students through clarification of course assignments, lectures, tests and lab exercises.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to demonstrate procedures and use equipment and materials.
• Coordinate tests: selection from test banks, administration of exams, recording grades.
• Participate in periodic inventory of capital equipment.
