Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support to CVS Pharmacy locations, traveling between stores to maintain and repair computer systems, hardware, and store technology. This role supports POS, pharmacy systems, networking equipment, and other in-store technologies.
The technician diagnoses and resolves technical issues, performs preventative maintenance, and ensures minimal disruption to store operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, repairs and maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
- Willingness to travel frequently between CVS Pharmacy locations within Reading, PA.
Responsibilities
- Travel between CVS Pharmacy locations to provide on-site technical support and maintenance.
- Deliver hands-on support for store systems, including POS and pharmacy systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, software updates, hardware upgrades and replacements.
- Install and configure POS terminals, peripherals and network connectivity.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on-site and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service calls and installations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve issues as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to store colleagues while troubleshooting issues.
- Manage inventory of IT parts and tools; track stock and place orders as needed.
