Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Storeroom Crib Attendant to join the team on customer sites, handling daily receiving, stocking, issuing and cycle counting of inventory.

Responsibilities include data entry for stock, maintaining organized storage, and assisting with inventory reports. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 3 months of related experience, plus basic computer skills and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ months relevant experience or training.
• Loading, unloading, picking, packing or moving goods in a warehouse; forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, and maintenance instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn; MS-Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21 expected.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide) and ability to compute rates and percentages.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; teamwork orientation; attention to detail.
• Safety minded and capable of working in varied conditions and environments.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, receives and puts away incoming product; checks for damage and discrepancies.
• Sorts, labels, moves and stores items; optimizes crib space and storage.
• Issues items to site employees and maintains accurate records of issued/returned items.
• Enters data into a database to maintain stock records and respond to inquiries.
• Performs cycle counts and prepares inventory reports.
• Delivers tools or equipment to associate work locations; assists with inventory maintenance.
• Inspects tools/equipment for defects and reports wear to supervisors.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
