Sun Chemical seeks an Ink Inplant Tech II to provide on-site color matching, formulation, and small-batch blending at customer locations in California. You will operate with minimal supervision, ensuring ink quality per specifications and maintaining thorough records.

The role emphasizes strong technical service on press, problem solving, and accurate reporting, with routine coordination of production and CTS data. Requires 3+ years in the ink industry and the ability to lift 50 lbs daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook and dispensing/color matching software.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. throughout the day.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Customer-facing role requiring strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and quality control inks to meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Perform color matching and formulation.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records.
• Support customer schedules through production coordination.
• Identify and implement rework opportunities from batch tickets.
• Provide press-side technical service and detailed reporting.
• Maintain monthly and weekly CTS and Sales reports.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and move 500 lb drums as required.
