Job summary

CBTS is seeking a self-starter IT technician to work on-site on the shop floor in Rutland, Vermont. You will install hardware, document inventory, and perform post-migration testing, collaborating with the Technology Lead to support deployment tasks for the Operational Technology Network.

Candidates should have 3–4 years in IT, be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, and be able to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings (tooling and hardware) would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands and feet support for remote service providers like CBTS.
• Physically install network and computing devices on site.
• Support on-site equipment and hardware connectivity.
• Assist with server connectivity as instructed by Server Team.
• Support network hardware security patching/firmware upgrades.
• Assist with reading engineering drawings.
• Participate in network infrastructure project design, build, deployment or migration.
• Support network obsolescence/refresh cycles.
• Assist with site network optimization and restructuring activities (MAC, removals).
• Support asset identification and network segmentation projects.
