Job summary

Gate Petroleum Company in Northeast Florida is seeking an on-site Information Security Analyst to safeguard our systems, networks, and data. You will monitor security activity, investigate incidents, and support compliance efforts.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 2–5 years in information security, and skills in vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT operations.
• Understanding of network and system security, threats, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM alerts and investigate security events.
• Respond to incidents involving phishing, malware, unauthorized access, and other threats; assist containment and recovery.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and track remediation to completion.
• Support security audits and assessments against frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
• Assist with deployment and tuning of endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, DLP, MFA.
• Advise IT and business teams on practical security measures.
• Review configurations and propose improvements.
• Contribute to security awareness training and phishing simulations.
