Job Description
Analyzes, improves, implements, and executes vulnerability scanning technologies and processes proactively to prevent external threat actors from infiltrating company information or systems. Typically has 7-10 years of relevant experience. As a member of the Global Information Security Vulnerability Identification team, you will help implement and participate in the day‑to‑day management of vulnerability scanning tool (e.g. Qualys). Cyber Incident investigation and response is also a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze findings from vulnerability reporting workstreams, to identify thematic vulnerability scan‑related issues
- Suggest business cases for submission to Automation teams in creation of alternate means to detect vulnerabilities
- Cyber and Technology Incident Response
- Escalate scanning issues and gaps, and follow up with solution vendors, up to issue resolution
- Review current existing vulnerability detection processes for ways to streamline and make them more efficient
- Flawless representation of the vulnerability identification program during assigned on‑call and Analyst‑In‑Charge windows
- Thorough analysis and recommendation for Acceptable Use requests
- Identify and present opportunity proposals for program improvement to VI Leadership
Required Skills
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Information Security or related Technology field(s)
- Hands‑on experience managing an industry leading vulnerability identification scanning solution (e.g. Qualys, Tenable, Tanium)
- Experience with CVE vulnerability analytics as a focus area within Information Security
- Strong experience with CVE‑based vulnerability identification and risk analysis
- Hands‑on experience in System Administration (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking
- Broad technical background utilizing security technologies, such as Server and Workstation Operating Systems, Network Security
- Superior sense of urgency and ability to effectively prioritize deliverables
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
- Experience with one or more Database Management Systems (e.g. SQL, Mongo)
- One or more industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM
- Familiarity with mainstream attacker techniques, tactics, and procedures (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK Framework)
- Working knowledge of Network architecture and engineering concepts
