Job summary

Austin Industrial in Lincolnton, NC is hiring a Mechanic Helper to assist the Mechanic in diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. This on-site, full-time role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience – 1 to 2 years of experience working within a maintenance function preferably in a facility maintenance related setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety of employees, customers and the surrounding community and environment.
• Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all mechanical equipment and systems.
• Tests, repairs, or installs mechanical units, such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors systems, brakes, clutches, and other such devices.
• Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets, and a variety of other machine parts.
• Rebuilds pumps, cylinders, valves, chillers, and various mechanical equipment as necessary following standard operating procedure.
• Diagnosis mechanical equipment malfunctions, make recommendations for repairs and initiate repairs in accordance with regulatory cand cGMP requirements using OEM manuals and specifications.
