Job summary

Phantom Staffing is seeking a Junior Industrial Buyer to procure raw materials, equipment, and components for machinery manufacturing. You will interpret engineering drawings, work with vendors on pricing and delivery, and support cost reductions while maintaining records for a high-volume purchasing environment.

The role is on-site in Cleveland, OH, with reporting to the FMF Plant Manager. Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of industrial buying experience and strong communication with suppliers

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of purchasing experience in industrial buying.
• Ability to read/understand 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials, equipment, parts, and supplies based on engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with Engineering on drawings and BOMs.
• Communicate with vendors on price, availability and delivery schedules.
• Evaluate suppliers to ensure timely delivery with quality.
• Prepare purchase orders or bid requests and maintain procurement records.
• Forecast parts and materials, assuring availability and cost control.
• Expedite deliveries and resolve issues with QA and vendors.
