Job summary

Turning Point USA in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance to the General Counsel on contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented attorney who can work independently and with cross-functional teams to support a growing nonprofit organization.

The ideal candidate has a JD, is admitted to a state bar (Arizona or compatible), 3+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate

Qualifications

JD degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
Arizona or Indiana bar preferred but not required; willingness to relocate to Phoenix.
Minimum of three years of relevant legal experience; 3.5–7 years preferred.
Strong knowledge of employment, corporate, nonprofit, contract, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent organization, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and with internal teams as a service provider.
Willingness to fulfill all duties listed and any additional duties assigned.

Responsibilities

Provide legal strategy and guidance on contracts, employment law, litigation, and nonprofit compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support business objectives; assist with policy development.
Support HR in matters related to employment law and regulatory compliance.
Monitor legal developments and advise General Counsel; collaborate with outside counsel as needed.
Participate in staff trainings on regulatory and nonprofit compliance.
