Job summary

Kiewit seeks a Field Operations HR Manager to lead the on-site HR team at our large construction project sites, delivering HR services aligned with project objectives and acting as employee champion and change agent.

The role supports onboarding, staffing, performance management, policy adherence, and training coordination to drive project success and safety culture, requiring strong business acumen and flexibility for field assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR disciplines.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Experience as an HR Business Partner/HR Manager/HR Generalist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main HR contact for employees and managers at field sites.
• Manage HR functions including employee changes, leave, separations, and reporting.
• Plan and conduct onboarding and transfer orientation.
• Resolve issues professionally in line with company policies.
• Oversee I-9 documentation and project paperwork.
• Address employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
• Oversee performance management and development plans.
• Plan staffing across project phases to ensure qualified personnel.
