Job summary

RES Americas in Hereford, Texas is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate and maintain site equipment across field conditions. You will follow safety procedures, perform pre-inspections, and coordinate with the superintendent on equipment needs and maintenance.

The role requires 0–3 years of experience with key machinery (backhoe, loader, crane, excavator) and on-site certification for heavy and light equipment; travel to remote sites may be required, and a strong safety mindset is

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–2 years experience with backhoe, loader, roller and rock truck.
  • 1–3 years experience with blade, excavator and dozer.
  • 1–3 years experience with crane and trencher.
  • On-site certification for all equipment types by the superintendent.

Responsibilities

  • Follows safety and operating procedures of heavy and light equipment.
  • Operates light/heavy equipment including backhoe, loader, rock truck, blade, excavator, dozer; digger Derrick; crane.
  • Inspects loads, performs pre-inspection checks and monitors equipment daily.
  • Performs work on various terrains and evaluates requirements for assigned work.
  • Calculates crane capacities and weights for rigging and hoisting (Crane Operators).
  • Maintains equipment with preventive maintenance and reports malfunctions.
  • Cleans interior cab area daily.
  • Adheres to safety and security procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
