Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Superintendent for the Heavy Civil team in Eureka, NV. You will provide frontline leadership for earthworks construction activities, coordinating daily work plans, monitoring production, and ensuring alignment with drawings, schedules, and cost objectives.

You will drive work methods, troubleshoot on-site issues, and foster a collaborative, solutions-focused crew environment, while building strong relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and staff.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of supervisory experience in heavy civil construction with a strong earthworks focus.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules and adapt to changing site conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions to complex challenges.
• Effective communicator able to tailor messaging to various stakeholders.
• Collaborative leader who fosters teamwork and consensus.
• Willingness to travel and remain on-site for project durations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of civil construction operations, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and standards.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship while optimizing labor and material efficiency.
• Enforce site safety protocols that meet or exceed requirements.
• Monitor and update construction schedules to meet milestones and production targets.
• Review invoices from suppliers and subcontractors for accuracy; report discrepancies.
• Hire and manage hourly field staff in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Prepare and process field change orders with client representatives.
• Lead planning meetings with Maintenance and Operations to ensure equipment readiness.
