• Proficiency with computers and related software, with the ability to learn inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with vendors, hospital departments, and leadership.

Aufgaben

• Coordinating materials management and purchasing to ensure hospital departments have the supplies and equipment needed to deliver safe, efficient patient care.
• Maintaining appropriate inventory levels, ordering and stocking supplies, monitoring expiration dates, and conducting cycle counts.
• Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to research products, obtain samples, evaluate options, and secure competitive pricing.
• Processing purchase requests and updating item records in inventory systems (SMART, Paragon, GHX, MMIS).
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and safety by supporting recalls and following hospital policies and standards.
• Partnering with clinical and nonclinical teams to resolve supply needs and provide timely service.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource use.
• Cross-training to promote teamwork and continuity of service.
