Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, TX seeks an Insurance Verification Specialist to verify patient benefits by phone or insurance platforms and document benefits into NPR. The role supports clinics and Central Billing Office, and participates in special projects.

This full-time on-site position requires at least 2 years of insurance experience, with strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Insurance Experience - minimum of 2 years is required.
• Customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of insurance verification preferred
• Healthcare, Medical, Dental office administration preferred

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance eligibility by phone or approved online platforms.
• Knowledge of in-network payers with use of resources and tools.
• Knowledge of out-of-network options to communicate and recommend to front office clinic staff.
• Communicates issues/problems with demographic information to the Administrative Service Manager.
• Documents and tracks payer specific requirements.
• Reports daily statistics to ensure department goals are met.
• Inputs insurance benefits into TS NPR system within 24 hours of receiving information.
