Job summary

Planate Management Group (PMG) is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the VA Hospital Grand Junction. You will provide construction oversight, ensure compliance with contracts, and coordinate activities between contractors and facility occupants on-site in Grand Junction, CO.

Responsibilities include leading construction teams, reviewing submittals, performing field inspections, and ensuring adherence to design, specs, codes, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Three (3) or more years of civil/construction management experience, preferably in healthcare facilities.
• Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs is an advantage.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling methods.
• Strong English communication, both written and oral.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of construction work and inspections.
• Monitor contractor means and methods to ensure safety, quality, and contract compliance.
• Review submittals for compliance and provide guidance to the government.
• Perform field inspections to verify workmanship and materials.
• Ensure compliance with design, specifications, codes and regulations.
• Identify and address deficiencies and deviations from plans; collaborate with the team to resolve.
