Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced finance leader to manage the accounting operations, budgeting, auditing, payroll, A/P and A/R, and financial reporting in accordance with internal policies. This hands-on manager will work with staff and consultants to ensure sound financial management, while meeting Board expectations and external deadlines.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience; CPA is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with 5+ years related experience.
• CPA desirable but not required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
• Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare timely financial reports for management and Board.
• Coordinate budgeting and projection for all departments.
• Lead internal and external audits; liaise with auditors.
• Oversee remittance/invoicing and reporting for funders; manage donor funds.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies; support tax filings.
