Job summary

Glacier West Self Storage is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and exterior property care at our Mukilteo and Everett locations in Washington. You will perform routine landscaping, cleaning, and inspections, and report maintenance or safety issues as they arise.

This on-site role requires a High School diploma or GED, the ability to operate landscaping tools, work in all weather, and provide courteous customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Groundskeeping, janitorial experience, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to use landscaping equipment and related tools (e.g., rake, shovel, power washer).
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and tolerate exposure to dust and dirt. - cold weather and heat.
• Ability to problem solve, diagnose and troubleshoot basic maintenance issues effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the facility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Proficient in using basic computer skills and technology, including email, smartphone apps, internet browsing, and data entry, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping and curb appeal (mowing, edging, trimming shrubs, weeding, watering, seasonal cleanup).
• Operate hedgers, trimmers, clippers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Clean exterior areas of the property and pressure wash as needed.
• Inspect property for debris, damage, safety issues, and maintenance needs.
• Clean vacant storage units in partnership with the property team.
• Maintain grounds equipment in safe operating condition.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Perform duties as assigned.
