Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Grading Superintendent to serve as the on-site representative for grading operations across Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. You will lead field crews, coordinate with client and inspectors, manage scheduling, material control, and safety to deliver high-quality grading on time.

You bring 5+ years in construction with 3+ years in supervision, plus strong communication skills and familiarity with road/bridge projects, erosion control and safety training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction with at least 3+ years supervising multiple grading crews.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication with management and teams; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team by defining success factors, design deliverables timing, and work breakdown.
• Provide leadership to establish structure, processes, and execution of scope, quality, and cost.
• Evaluate progress against contract, design data, schedule, and budgets; advise on risks and impacts.
• Oversee safety orientations and coaching for improvement.
• Monitor crews, structure, and wage compliance; manage staffing needs.
• Review cost and man-hour budgets; plan staff, facilities, equipment, and tools.
• Apply knowledge of roads, highways, bridges, and Maintenance of Traffic; ensure safety training.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
