Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Grading Superintendent to act as on-site lead, coordinating grading operations, scheduling, material control, and field direction. You will liaise with client reps, inspectors, subcontractors, and Kiewit personnel to deliver safe, efficient grading on major infrastructure projects across the South Central region.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in construction with supervisory experience, strong knowledge of grading and materials, and a focus on quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction with 3+ years in a supervisory role managing multiple grading crews.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand work directions and communicate effectively with management and peers.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to identify key success factors and establish work breakdown structures.
• Lead organization, processes, and execution to ensure quality, safety, and cost control.
• Monitor contract compliance, schedule, budgets, and quality with timely risk assessment.
• Coach teams on safety orientations and driving improvements.
• Oversee crew structure, sizing, and wage compliance.
• Develop staffing, facilities, equipment, and tool requirements plans.
• Apply knowledge of roads, highways, bridges, and traffic management to projects.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus in coordination and communication.
