Job summary

South Main Trucking Co. in Greensburg, PA is seeking a full-time mechanic to service and repair vehicles at our Greensburg branch. You will troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance, with travel to other branches as needed.

The ideal candidate has mechanical troubleshooting skills, owns tools, and can work independently or with a team. DOT regulations, background checks, and drug testing are part of the hiring process. Overtime and a strong work ethic are expected.

Qualifications

• Have own tools.
• At least 21 years old (insurance purposes).
• Pass the DOT Physical.
• Clean driving record.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to perform repair and replacement work including oil, tires, brakes, lamps and various other parts.
• Willing to learn and expand skill set.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Work overtime as required.
• Meet DOT regulatory requirements for operating company or related vehicles.
• Familiar with all DOT regulations and truck operations.
• Sign all documentation to meet DOT regulations and company requirements.
