Job summary

The University of Houston is seeking a software-focused Front-end Developer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise web applications on-site in Houston, TX. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver responsive interfaces and integrated services using React/Angular/Vue, .NET back-ends, and cloud deployments.

The ideal candidate brings strong front-end skills, experience with RESTful APIs, and familiarity with AI-assisted design tools.

Qualifications

Requires a 4 year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of one year of directly job-related experience.
Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience and vice versa.

Responsibilities

Design and implement user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Collaborate with a team to integrate APIs and services built in Python (FastAPI, Flask, etc.) and ASP.NET.
Update existing .NET-based applications with improvements and front-end integrations.
Work with stakeholders to translate UI/UX wireframes into functional, responsive code.
Use AI-driven design tools where appropriate.
Use Github, CI/CD pipelines, DevOPs workflows to manage development and deployment.
Deploy and maintain applications using Azure, AWS, or University cloud environments.
