Job summary

The University of Houston System is seeking a developer to advance Education Innovation & Tech on-site at the University of Houston in Houston, TX. You will design and implement modern front- end interfaces, integrate APIs and services in Python and ASP.NET, and modernize .NET applications.

Ideal candidates will be proficient in React/Angular/Vue, HTML5/CSS3/Bootstrap/JS/TypeScript, and eager to learn while deploying to Azure/AWS in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable proficiency with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Demonstrable proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive web design.
• Enthusiasm for learning on the job.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Collaborate with a team to integrate APIs and services built in Python (FastAPI, Flask, etc.) and ASP.NET.
• Update existing .NET-based applications with improvements and front-end integrations.
• Work with application stakeholders to translate needed UI/UX wireframes and user flows into functional, responsive code.
• Use AI-driven design tools where appropriate.
• Use Github, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows to manage development and deployment.
• Deploy and maintain applications using Azure, AWS, or other cloud environments provided by the University.
