Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Forklift Operator in Chambersburg, PA, to join a team of professionals on-site. The role focuses on transporting goods, moving materials, and adhering to safety guidelines.

The position may require certification upkeep and a forklift license as needed for the duties. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of forklift experience and must be able to obtain and maintain Government Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of forklift operation experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Government Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operates manually controlled forklifts (gasoline, electric, diesel, or LPG) to transport goods and materials.
• Moves materials within warehouses, manufacturing plants, or other facilities.
• Follows all safety guidelines established by LEAD while operating equipment.
• Operates and maintains certification on forklifts up to 36K capacity, based on mission requirements.
• Obtains forklift license upon request and as required for the role.
