Job summary

FELFEL USA is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Manager to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Food Quality & Safety program across the US supply chain. You will own quality specifications, update nutritional data, manage allergen declarations, and audit suppliers to ensure top-tier safety and product excellence.

Based in NYC area with 30% travel, you will collaborate with Operations and Production teams to uphold strict standards, support packaging improvements, and address

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience navigating HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA, NYS Agriculture & Markets, NYC Department of Health, and GFSI-benchmarked standards.
• High attention to detail with experience managing technical product databases, nutritional calculations, and regulatory label compliance.
• Proven track record in food safety and quality assurance, with direct experience in fresh, ready-to-eat meals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily product quality for received goods and take corrective actions.
• Support production kitchen to ensure top quality and safety, troubleshooting constraints.
• Author and maintain master quality specs; manage nutritional data, allergen declarations, and ingredient decks.
• Audit private label facilities and suppliers for quality, shelf-life, and safety improvements.
• Research and implement improvements in fresh packaging design for quality and shelf life.
• Collaborate with Operations to investigate root causes and respond to customer inquiries on safety/quality.
• Provide early morning or weekend coverage as required by production schedules; travel 30%.
