Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to provide on-site professional support for NAVFAC SE at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on fire protection design, life-safety systems, and coordination with multidiscipline teams on in-house and contractor projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, familiarity with UFC, NFPA, IBC/IMC/IRC, and DoD requirements, and may hold a PE. On-site work with standard 40-hour weeks is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in fire protection engineering or mechanical engineering with relevant design experience.
• Minimum five years of professional fire protection engineering for design of facilities.
• PE in Fire Protection Engineering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site fire protection engineering support for Navy and other commands.
• Develop plans, specs, and cost estimates; review design submissions for code compliance.
• Conduct site visits and witness commissioning of life-safety systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and other engineering disciplines to ensure system integration.
• Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and presentations.
