Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to provide on-site professional support to NAVFAC SE at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL. The role covers fire protection design for in-house and A/E projects including MILCON and life-safety systems.

Responsibilities include design, reviews, site visits, and coordination with disciplines to ensure code-compliant solutions aligned with UFC, NFPA, IBC/IMC, and DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional fire protection design experience for new construction and renovations.
• ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in fire protection engineering; or mechanical engineering with fire protection experience.
• PE licensure desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent fire protection engineering support for Navy, MILCON, and government facilities.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and other disciplines to ensure system integration and code compliance.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, RFPs, and scopes of work; review submittals for code compliance.
