SimIS Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to oversee financial accounting, reporting and compliance for government contracting. The role requires hands-on management of day-to-day accounting, cash flow, and on-site presence in Suffolk, VA.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensure FAR/DCAA compliance, and coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to optimize profitability and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
• 3–5 years of government contractor accounting experience.
• Expert knowledge of GAAP, DCAA, and FAR.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters related to government contracts.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for government programs.
• Ensure compliance with FAR and DCAA requirements.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements for CPA review.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and tax filings.
