Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Field Service Technician II in Marion, IL. You will perform on-site services, diagnostics, repairs, and installations for hydraulics and related systems at customer sites, with a regional focus.

The role requires a technical degree and 3–5 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in a 24/7 on-call environment. You may lead small projects and train peers as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, peers and management to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site services for new and existing clients, including emergency repairs, servicing and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.
• Responsible for installation, diagnostics, repair and support for equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose problems, document findings, and decide on repair or replacement parts.
• Provide technical analysis of product implementations and enhancements per customer specs.
• Keep customers informed and suggest system enhancements or repairs.
• Lead small to moderate projects at customer sites.
