Job summary

Motion is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site services, diagnostics, repair, and installation for hydraulic systems and related equipment at customer sites.

The role involves providing technical support and training to customers, working under supervision, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. A technical degree and up to 3 years of experience are typically required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site services for new and existing clients, including on-site emergency repairs and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.
• Responsible for installation, diagnostics, repair and support for equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose problems, assess scope, document findings, and decide on repair or part replacement.
• Provide technical analysis of product implementations and enhancements per customer specs.
• Keep customers informed about service status and recommended improvements.
• Follow guidelines to perform moderately complex repairs and installations under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and technical support to customers on operation and maintenance of system equipment.
• Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
