Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Patch Manager Field Systems Technologist for Navy ELMR to perform patching operations across Windows, RHEL, and databases. The role is 100% on-site in Italy under SOFA, with travel up to 25% and requirement for U.S. citizenship.

The candidate will collaborate with Master Site FSTs and engineering, submit activity reports, and maintain system health while pursuing DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bow requirements include Italy SOFA compliance with degree/equivalent.
• Experience in IT systems administration and TCP/IP networks.
• Ability to obtain security certifications within six months (CompTIA Security+ or IAT II).
• ETA CETa certification within six months of employment.
• Experience with Windows and RHEL systems and Active Directory.
• Hands-on with virtualization and server hardware (HP/Dell).
• Proficient with admin tools (PuTTY, WinSCP, Remote Desktop).
• Strong multitasking, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Implement system and security patch updates per ASTRO service.
• Diagnose patching issues in a dynamic enterprise environment.
• Maintain verbal and written communications with leadership.
• Support master, dispatch, and RF sites during maintenance.
• Travel up to 25% for regional system maintenance.
• Obtain and maintain DoD Secret-level clearance (SOFA).
