Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in Kentucky is seeking a Field Engineer, Operations Maintenance to provide mechanical, technical, hands-on maintenance support across filling, packaging, anaerobe and bioreactor operations. You will troubleshoot, perform PMs, and assist in commissioning new equipment.

The role emphasizes electro-mechanical systems, conveyors, pumps, bioreactors, and related controls, with input on project work and adherence to GMP & safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. Technical institute training and certification preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years mechanical maintenance and basic electrical experience in equipment common to bio-pharma or related industries.
• Supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Familiarity with bio-pharmaceutical production processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains production process equipment supporting production schedules and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoots and implements corrective action where equipment experiences performance issues.
• Supports training of production & maintenance personnel relative to operations and care of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Coordinates with Planner/Scheduler and supervisors to ensure scheduling information and work orders are completed within compliance windows.
• Utilizes CMMS per SOP to document work and maintain preventive maintenance records.
• Keeps current on new technologies impacting equipment and processes.
